What is a Wiki?

• A website that anyone can edit.
• A Web site developed collaboratively by a community of users, allowing any user to add and edit content.
• If you can use a word processor, you can use a wiki!
• Hawaiian for "quick" or "fast"
• Visitors can discuss the page in a threaded forum (discussion tab).
• There are many wiki providers. For this training, wikispaces is utilized.
